The deli is small and absolutely adorable. There are rustic wooden booths and tables with stone tops. With a red-tiled floor and a mustard-colored ceiling, Ninth Street Deli has an inviting, cozy atmosphere. Right in the middle of the ceiling is a skylight framed with hunter green painted wood. The natural lighting adds to the welcoming character of the deli. Local artwork and photography adorn the white walls, contrasting nicely with the deli's vintage elements for an eclectic look. The best part of the place is the back wall, covered with a collage of movie posters from the '30s and '40s. With its intriguing architectural details, Ninth Street Deli is a work of art in itself. Atmosphere aside, Ninth Street Deli has incredible food. There are classic salads made with fresh vegetables. Try the Greek salad. The crumbled feta cheese, pepperoncinis and cucumbers are delicious. For a reasonable price, the deli also offers a soup of the day or chili, which can be ordered with cheese and chopped onions. The main attractions at Ninth Street Deli are the signature sandwiches. Although they're a little pricey, you definitely get every penny's worth in each scrumptious bite. The large sandwiches are made with freshly baked bread, lightly toasted until golden brown. It's flaky, warm and soft with a crunchy crust and perfect color, and it tastes like a Parisian bakery. The bread is drizzled with oil and vinegar or spread with mayo, depending on which sandwich you order.
